I am sharing a slightly different post today, but I want to start sharing more content that is open, honest, and dives onto a more personal level. Fashion blogging has some great perks – I get to share my style and passions with some amazing gals! I get to talk about flattering cuts and pretty patterns, and I get to inspire you all to find pieces you love. BUT – there is another side of it. The side where I need to tell you about the things I do not like. I need to share products that don’t work and pieces that are not quality or worth the money. This also includes brands that do not treat their customers right. It’s my job to show you guys the AMAZING stuff that you must have, but also tell you guys when to stay away from the BAD stuff, so you don’t waste your time or money.
So – on that note – I’m sharing a personal experience I had with a popular monogram company, and I’m doing so to warn you guys of a disreputable brand, and to show how highly important it is to me to only recommend companies I personally support.
Okay, let’s jump into the horror story. My mom ordered me a 3XL Monogram necklace for Christmas from a popular online store – Love Always Couture. I already have a gold monogram necklace from them, and I bought my mom and sister monograms for their birthdays. Needless to say, this is a company I have personally spent some serious $$$ on (considering that their large monograms are $220+).
The company guarantees that you will get your necklaces before Christmas when you order one for the holiday. Well, when my necklace arrived about a week before Christmas, it was the correct size but it had the wrong monogram letters. My initials are “KLB” but the monogram that came read “KAB.” When my mom spoke to the company, they said that their systems had reset letters on some orders to the automatic “A.” They promised to resend the correct monogram and assured its arrival before Christmas.
When Christmas Day rolled around, the monogram had still not arrived and my mom was visibly upset that she did not have my present to give to me. Of course I assured her it was no big deal! It’s the thought that counts and I was sure the monogram would show up soon.
It did not come in the mail for two weeks after Christmas. When I finally opened it, it was six sizes too small. After many calls and emails, I was finally able to get someone on the phone. Somehow, the order was confused (my only guess is that the system messed up again?!), and the XS size is what it was showing. I agreed to pay the extra difference in money to get the monogram I had wanted all along (Yes – I am paying more $$ after 2 screwed up orders), but I figured if that is what it would take then I would do it.
The company has a 22 day shipping period. That is a long time to wait for an item, but I understand that customization can take a while. I waited the full month for my new monogram – and surprise – it NEVER came. I called the company countless times, left voicemails, and sent a variety of emails. No one ever responded to any of my inquires. Needless to say, I never received the necklace that I paid money for. Five months later, and I still have not heard from anyone in the company to this day. I was forced to file the suit with my bank, and luckily they refunded my money.
I supported Love Always, purchased multiple items, and recommended them on my blog so many times. If this is how they treat their loyal customers, I cannot imagine how they would treat a new customer. I obviously can no longer support their business, and I would never recommend a company that I knew treated their customers this way. I urge you guys to not make the mistake I did! Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
I am linking some cute monograms here and here for you guys! I have personally not ordered these yet, but I hope to in the near future. Let me know below if you guys have some awesome monogram companies I should start recommending!
Thanks for reading <3

I have always wanted to place an order with them but after reading your post I am changing my mind. I can't believe they messed up the order and still made you pay the difference! That is seriously not okay. Thank you for sharing your experience girly!!

Thank you so much for the honesty.. I have tempted ordering a monogram necklace too but the price has always put me off. So many bloggers support this brand, and I'm sure those bloggers get great customer serivce, but it is us "others" out there who need to know the whole truth before purchasing! Thanks again!
