Last Saturday was my senior prom! It was hosted at the Railroad Freight Depot in the heart of Atlanta, and it couldn’t have been a better night!
My favorite part of the whole prom process was choosing my dress (of course!). The prom dress trend this year was more form fitted and two piece dresses were very popular. I knew a two piece dress did not exactly fit my style, but I still wanted my dress to have that modern feel.
So, I chose a dress that had a great fit and an open back (which is to die for!!). The open back stretched forward to create a cutout look that also resembled the two piece dresses without exposing my entire stomach. In addition, my dress incorporated both lace and sparkle. As much as I love glitz and glam, the typical rhinestones on prom dresses tend to look excessive and cheap, so I stayed away. Instead, I found a lace textile that had tiny embellishments that made the dress shine. I absolutely love the balance between lace and glamour, as well as flirty and elegant.
This dress really expresses my personality – I adore everything about it! To finish the look, I bought the most beautiful shoes (in the color champagne) and some simple gold earrings. The perfect outfit only made my night more flawless!
