(yes, that’s Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel!)
I’m so excited to share our first travel post with all of you today! Olivia and I were lucky enough to grow up with parents who love to travel, so traveling has always been a big part of our lives. We couldn’t be more thankful for all of the amazing places we’ve seen and all of the memories we’ve made thus far. A piece of advice from the two of us: travel as much as you can (you don’t always have to drop serious $$$ to do so!). It’s truly the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
On Valentine’s Day I returned home from an amazing 10-day trip to the West Coast! I flew out to Las Vegas on Friday, February 5th for Superbowl weekend with my boyfriend (Aaron), dad, my dad’s girlfriend (Jaime), and some other family friends. Spending Superbowl weekend in Las Vegas has become a tradition for my dad and his friends, and Aaron and I have joined the trip ever since I turned 21! We stay at the Wynn Hotel, which I highly recommend. It’s classy and a perfect location on the strip.
On Saturday night we saw Mariah Carey perform in concert, and later on we saw Kaskade. Unfortunately, the Panthers lost the Superbowl (a bummer since I went to college in NC), but it was a fun and unforgettable weekend nonetheless.
On Monday, my dad, Jaime, and I flew from Vegas to Pebble Beach, California for the PGA Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Tournament. This is the 3rd year that my dad has been invited to play in the tournament as an amateur. Some of the amateurs invited to play in this event are celebrities, so I had the chance to hangout with famous people that I could only dream of meeting. The list of people I met include: Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Mark Wahlberg, Jordan Speith, Toby Keith, Jake Owen, Colt Ford, Chris O’Donnell, Chris Berman, Huey Lewis, and Kenny G. The list of celebrities that played goes on, but those are the ones I was lucky enough to be in the same room with.We stayed at The Lodge, which is BEAUTIFUL, so again I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Pebble. And if you enjoy golf, Pebble Beach is the place to go. I had the chance to walk 3 of the famous golf courses there throughout the tournament (Pebble Beach, Monterey Country Club, and SpyGlass), and I have a new appreciation for golf. It was gorgeous, and we lucked out with the weather. It was sunny and 60’s everyday. And if golf isn’t your cup of tea, there’s amazing shopping in town too 🙂
